Hello! My husband and I recently returned from a week-long trip in Oregon, and I thought, what better way to get myself organized and keep track of our keepsakes than to start a blog? Here's my attempt at that personal construct. For those of you who will be following me along on the start of this journey, that's pretty sweet. This is a new beginning.
So about this Oregon trip.
We spent a few days exploring the Columbia River Gorge, completely in love with the glory-lit woods, our day-long hikes braving the poison oak, the hidden waterfalls around the lushest of corners, our impromptu dips in found watering holes, etc etc. Each night we would return to our rented place and shower the earth off of our bodies, and completely feel our muscles melt in heavenly bliss under the hot, hot shower stream. What's more, there is absolutely no shortage of cold craft beer in beautiful Hood River (where we stayed), which came in handy in the evenings. Brewery tasting and outdoor breezes while staring into the gorge. Pole-caught salmon grilled to perfection, herb fries, salad greens dressed perfectly. These are a few of our night-out memories. Oh and the echoes. The conversations and laughs between my husband and I will forever echo within me.
Here are some quick photos of our Oneonta Falls hike.
Stay tuned for more of our Oregon adventures. We headed to Portland just a few short days after this hike, where the fun for sure continued. For tonight I'll end by sharing that I'm excited to have a place where I may toy with my thoughts and string together the massive amounts of images I often end up with. Moments to sit back and reflect on all things big and small is what this will be.
Thanks for peeking through. xx
